May 16, 2016 at 9:11 am #931035Hi
I’m updating a website with old Joomla installation (1.5.x) with the last one + Ja Beranis template.
In the old website we have 2 languages (French , English) managed by Joomfish component. Now we still want the 2 languages but I’m not sure hot to manage it (I saw there are 2 languages in your demo).
What is the best solution?
I should find if there is an update if Joomfish component for Joomla 3.x) and import the articles or a different solutionI will appreciate your suggestions
Thank you

May 17, 2016 at 5:03 am #931402Hi Giulia,
It seems that Joomfish is not ready for Joomla 3.x, you can contact them if they support it or not.
If not, you can give a try with our free component: JA Multilingual component: https://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-component/ja-multilingual

May 17, 2016 at 7:47 am #931453Hi
Indeed Joomfish seems to be not more supported.
Your component could be a solution but I have some questions:
1.Does your componet support any 3rd party installed component? e.g. Chronoforms…- In the frontend which language is showed as default ? actually in Joomfish it takes the browser language settings so if I have a French language as default language of my browser it will show the French language.
- I need to show the flags in the same position when I switch between languages. Is it possible? I saw in your Video and Ja beranis demo the flags appears on the right in a language and on the left in a different language.
4.What is the difference with native Joomla translation component?
I hope I was clear in my question.
Thanks again

May 20, 2016 at 9:52 am #932616Hello
if you don’t answer I guess your component doesn’t have the feature I’m looking for and I need to find something elseSaguaros ModeratorSaguaros

May 22, 2016 at 10:54 am #933283Hi Giulia,
I’m sorry for this lateness as I’m out of office for some days.
Below are my answers for your questions:
-
JA Multilingual supports several 3rd party components : K2, Virtuemart, Mijoshop, Easyblog.
-
The default language on frontend will depend on which language you set as default via Language manager – this is default of Joomla and we follow that way.
- The flags belongs to languageswitcher module, you can show it in position as our demo site or other position as you wish.
I hope these make senses.

May 23, 2016 at 10:16 am #933679ChronoForms is not in the list at this moment. But if the form contains less text, it will not take much time so you can do it manually
