February 20, 2014 at 5:31 pm #195014I was successful at adding a component to my menu and having it appear in my OnePage template. I’m now trying to password protect that menu item using a component called JLex Block. I posted a question to JLex support and they redirected me to Joomlart support. Your help is appreciated… Eric.
Here is the transcript:
I am using a one page template from Joomlart called JA OnePage. My site is entirely one page except for one menu item represented by a small calculator logo that links to a component. To be able to link to a component with this template, I had to duplicate my default template, choose ‘use default’ in ‘theme’ option, and assign this new template to the calculator menu item.
When I use JLex Block to password protect this menu item, I get the “Oops page is blocked” message, but the password box does not appear. I suspect that I have to apply this duplicated default template to JLex Block in some way.
I removed the password option for the moment. Your help is appreciated.

Dear Eric Hayes,We access to your site as admin and fixed. The cause is your template not insert component code. So, we must set different layout.
You can contact template provider to get help. Please contact us if you have any question.
Thank you very much.
Best wishes,

February 21, 2014 at 8:48 am #523744Hi Eric,
It seems this is the first time we meet the issue of JLex component on our templates. Can you make a snapshot of how the password box displays on Joomla default template ? So, we can take a look to compare with its appearance on our template.
In addition, I just took a look on this component backend and found that the blocked url alias of Cost Calculator menu item was added wrongly. That is why I got the 404 page when clicking on it, instead of the Password box. See my attached snapshot for more details.

February 21, 2014 at 3:49 pm #523780Not sure if you realized this, but you got it working. Not entirely how it is supposed to, but it may be ok. I just had to fix the URL alias. The password box appears on the page without any other content. It is supposed to appear on the page with the logo, menu and other modules of your choosing. I think I am ok with how it is displaying, so no extra work is needed on your end. Thanks!
For your reference, I installed fresh Joomla at http://www.ingramsiding.com/new2 with the same login credentials as /new in the post above. I added a JLex Block Test menu item.
Thanks,
