October 25, 2009 at 3:01 pm #145472Hi all, usually when I want to insert my Google Analytics code i do so, by inserting the code just inside the </body> tag however when i go to templates>ja teline III and hit the edit HTML button I do not see any </body> tag.
I know this is a new structure of design with Joomlart but I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of the new location for the </body> tag etc? :-[

October 25, 2009 at 3:10 pm #321489Hi jamjodesign,
I am not sure if this is the right answer. May be you can try to insert your Google Analytics code into the
/templates/ja_teline_iii/layouts/blocks/head.php .Give it a try.

October 25, 2009 at 3:15 pm #321490Ok il give that a shot. I think the best place to actually put it is /templates/ja_teline_iii/layouts/default.php but I could be wrong!! I will see if google picks it up…

October 25, 2009 at 6:16 pm #321498I put my Google Analytics code in a Custom HTML module and placed it as a mega-item at the top with the Show Title set to No. I pushed it all the way to the right, but I don’t know if this matters. Also be sure that All is checked under Menu Item Selection so it is included on every page.
As far as I can tell this is working fine. Remember that it could take up to 48 hours for Google Analytics to verify the installation. If you want to check the code (on a Mac) you can go to your website and click View > Page Source and then Ctrl F or Cmd F to find the word “Google”. If the code is installed it should take you right to it.
look at my page to try it out: http://www.sagenexus.com

November 29, 2009 at 2:42 pm #325227So I’d have to put the Google code at the end of these files:
/templates/ja_teline_iii/layouts/
3columns-classic.php
default.php
handheld.php
iphone.phpI’m also using joomla statst from http://www.joomlastats.org – it also wants a code inserted after <body> but I just can’t find it !
