    Hi I’m just finding my way round JA Smashboard and wanted to put a slideshow inside a Ja Smashboard article. But it only shows up when I click on the title otherwise the article is blank. I’m using the module JA Slideshow Lite

    Wow! I was thinking about having a slideshow in the article’s main image place.

    This is great. I hope that it takes into account mobile devices.

    Could you tell what is the used plug-in please?

    I will follow this with big interest.

    Cheers!

    @aratype – JA Slideshow Lite is a great little responsive slideshow from joomlart so it will still work on mobile devices. I just need to get it to appear as soon as the article is opened then it could be really useful in the template.

    Thanks, JA products are all excellent!

    I have seen other payed plug-in: http://demo.joomclub.org/skitter-pro-joomla-component-with-blind-animation

    I like it for its functionality and I think that it fits perfectly in SmashBoard.

    Hi Just wondering if you’d managed to have a look why the slideshow only shows in the pop up article when you click on title or refresh the page. Many thanks 🙂

    I was using an extension Modules Anywhere to put the module into the article. So I have also tried the above method by creating a custom position called ‘myposition’ and putting the code {loadposition myposition} into the article. I also created a test module with only words in the content that was also given ‘myposition’. The test modules appears with the content and the Slideshow title only appears and again the slideshow itself will only appear when you refresh the page.:((

    Here’s the page so you can see http://parkwoodairliebeachaccommodation.com.au/joomla/index.php/gallery

    – when you first click on the Gallery menu tab
    – after you refresh the page the Gallery shows

    @imatilda,

    I am not entirely sure about the issue you mentioned. It would be best if you could PM me the Admin, FTP credential of your site so that I can check and help you out.

    @imatilda,

    The issue might be because your site could not load the CSS file. Anyway, I need to have a closer check. Please PM me the FTP credentials (you sent me URL and Admin account only).

    @imatilda,

    I just checked your site, however the issue appears to be more complicated since it relates to ajax issue which prevents your site from loading both CSS and JS. I am afraid no quick fix for this is available for now.

    ok thanks. Does this template allow any slideshow?

    @imatilda,

    By default, JA Smashboard does not support slideshow module. Since this template has special layout, we can not integrate the slideshow into the page.
