Hello, I am having a hard time installing component into my already developed web site. I downloaded just the JobBoard25 component (com_jajobboard.v1.0.1.zip) and I went to install via the extension manager and when I do it thinks about it for a minute and then brings me to a Huge (1. An error has occurred). And a whole lot of code after it. Can anyone help me with this please?

    Hello Mikeselk,

Please check ‘max upload file size’ setting of your hosting, as on our download page at
    http://www.joomlart.com/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=447

size of Jobboard component is 2.62 MB, so please ensure that your setting is larger than this value.
If you can not resolve this issue, please give me PM for your administrator account and FTP account, I’ll check and resolve this issue for you

    Hi,

I too cannot get it to install. I get the following error:

1 – An error has occurred.
Not run: INSERT IGNORE INTO `#__ja_codes` ( … then a whole load of what look to be sql insert statements appear here

I am not upgrading but installing a fresh copy. Am i installing the correct file which is:

    com_jajobboard.v1.0.1

I have changed the max upload in php.ini to 500M and it doesn’t make a difference.

ANy idea what I am doing wrong?

If you want to resolve it, I am fine with that. I tried increasing the upload and I am still getting that issue. And I am getting exactly what Melanieb is getting. If there is a resolution, then it would be great for the forum to know. 🙂 Thanks

    Hi mikeselk,

I have increased the file upload even further, have also had the permissions re-set on my database as thought that might be an issue (but it wasn’t)

I don’t know if it means anything, but I have the Mendozites template installed which also installed the JA Extension Manager – do you have the same?

Nope, I created a custom template, which is very bare. All I want is the component for my client. And they spent the money so I could customize the application, which JobGrok can’t do. So that is why I am going with this board. I hope it can be resolved soon.

    Hi Dead Code,

did you get my details I sent via PM?

    Regards

Finally managed to install it. I had to manually delete all the job board related folders on the server which must have been uploaded when the first attempt to install was made and failed. Look in Componets, Modules, Plugins (and do same for the Administrator folder (Components etc.). and delete the job board related files

Then go to the database and find the jos_menus JA Jobboard menu item and delete it too.

    Hello mikeselk,

I have checked your site, I see that source code of Jobboard has been copied to right folder. So, when you install component, install script of component will not be run, that why Jobboard’ tables are not installed.

I have removed jobboard folder (in both front-end and back-end), and then install component again. installation script worked properly.
    Please have a look
