Trying to install the template locally to start adjusting it before going live. Get this error while I try to install the template (not quick install package):

    JInstaller: :Install: File does not exist /opt/local/www/joomla16/tmp/install_4d63ba31534b6/layouts

    Memory limits and upload limits are fine in php.ini. Any ideas what is wrong here? Not getting PHP error at the moment.

    Seems that folder “layouts” is missing. But when I check I do find it inside core/etc/layouts..

    Thanks. Installed it successfully now as well as the jat3 plugin. Did still get two:

    * JFolder::create: Could not create directory
    * JFolder::create: Could not create directory

    errors after I activated the template and jat3 plugin. They show in the front end in the header – see screenshot. I had some folder permission issues which I resolved, but I do still get this PHP Error:

    [23-Feb-2011 11:16:28] PHP Warning: fopen(/opt/local/www/joomla16/logs/t3.log) [<a href='function.fopen'>function.fopen</a>]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /opt/local/www/joomla16/plugins/system/jat3/jat3/core/common.php on line 809

    So perhaps there is still a permissions issue. Line 809 of common.php has:
if (!($f = fopen ($log_file, ‘a’))) return false;
Do not know why I get this error though. My logs folder is CHMOD 777

    Checking Directory permissions atm..

    OK. All Done. Errors gone after check of permissions at http://localhost/joomla16/administrator/index.php?option=com_admin&view=sysinfo and making changes when need be.
