    I’ve just installed the latest version of ja_teline_ii_quickstart_v1.3_1.5.x on my webserver, having to unzip it on my PC, then FTPing it to the server.

    All the pre-requisite installation options were green, apart from the display errors one, which was red.

    After removing the installation folder I instantly got the following message:
    Fatal error: Class jplugin: Cannot inherit from undefined class jeventhandler in /home/jqsimkgl/public_html/profwriting/libraries/joomla/plugin/plugin.php on line 29

    I haven’t installed anything else. :confused:

    The URL is: http://www.visitgallery.com/profwriting/

    Hi Hainn,

    I’ve saved a copy of the plugin.php file as plugin.txt and attached it – seems I couldn’t upload a php file.

    Hope this helps. Thanks for looking into this for me.

    Miles

    Can you please share what error was involved, Hain? And exactly what was done to fix it? Thanks. — Cornelio

    Hi all !
    There is problem in plugin.php file .
    You open plugin text and plugin.php to compare at about line 29 :
    in plugin.txt file :

    class JPlugin extends JEventHandler

    in plugin.php file :

    class JPlugin extends JEvent

    problem at here is there isn’t JEventHandler in joomla .

    Hi hainn,

    Is this for both Joomla 1.0x and Joomla 1.5x?

    I understand from your explanation above that there is something missing? My actual question actually is this:

    How come some people here experienced the problem? I never did encounter this problem.

    As a follow up:

    What is not accomplished if there isn’t JEventHandler in joomla?

    Thanks,

    Cornelio

    Thanks for the clarification Hainn,

    I do not want to be changing something, unless needed.
