Hello Im trying to install Ja Alumni (quickstart) but in the final step, when the installation starts, it jumps back to step 3 again. No error messages or anything. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi
I just download the quickstart package and installed it with sample data. Installation done without any issue. http://prntscr.com/ehfhbb http://prntscr.com/ehfhmd

Kindly try this:

1. Delete the current files and database that you used for the installation.
2. Increase the Max execution time and memory limits from PHP configuration of your server
3. Restart Apache to load the new values.
4. Now download and install the latest downloaded package on fresh DB.

5. Hope it helps.

I’m not very technical and I am unable to carry out step 2 and 3.
I have been in contact with my hosting company, but they can´t help me either.

I have a similar problem. When I try in install the quickstart package (ja-alumni.zip) it eventually comes back with the warning:

JInstaller: :Install: Can’t find Joomla XML setup file.
The Joomla package cannot be installed through the Extension Manager. Please use the Joomla! Update component to update Joomla.

I have updated php.ini upload_max_filesize and post_max_size to 50M.

I have the same problem with the Biz quickstart package. Installing individual extensions works fine. This is a fresh Joomla installation (v3.6.5).

Hi @hilmarg
Quickstart is standalone package and not install on Joomla. You have to install it separately like Joomla installation. Also, i request you to open thread on Correct forum page.
