    I have installed ja_genista. OK..
Then I (as I always do) download it, remove the files from the server with joomlaxplorer, and upload it again.

This to get the right chown on my Linux-server.

But with ja_genista, it seems that the template is deleted from the database too, because it is not visible agaain.

Is there a change in the template, so that my workaround is not possible anymore?

Once you upload the files (template files) it’ll come back. The information is read from the .xml file in the templates folder
