    Hello:

I just installed JAGraphite Joomla 1.7 today and apparently performed a successful install.

When in my admin backend, when I click on “View Site”, it goes to the old/prior index.html.

I can access the admin backend fine by typing the url/administrator and logging in, but am not seeing the new Joomla JAGraphite installedfront end at its url.

    The url is jillianlambert.com
    The webhost is WebhostingPad.com

    Thank you,

If you have an index.html and an index.php, most if not all servers will default to the index.html page. Try removing the index.html page from the server. Don’t delete it though as I don’t want to get yelled at for suggesting that. Just rename index.html.old
    Good luck.

After looking at your site, I can say with certanty that you need to remove the index.html file. If you can access the admin then Joomla is installed correctly.

Yup-gotcha. Did that. Now it’s showing up. I’ve not used this webhost before. I have used GoDaddy a lot and it allowed keeping the index.html file while the index.php? took the lead. Thank you for that quick on the money solve.

No problem, glad I could help. You can still have both indexes, but you will need to change the order they load in the .htaccess file.

    DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.htm
    etc.
