I just installed the latest comment component today, v 1.03, as well the latest template files, v1.01…
I can access the site only as administrator

http://heartline.douglasmagnus.com/administrator

But, I cannot access the site through normal front end as guest….

http://heartline.douglasmagnus.com

I get the message “restricted access”…

AFter updating the files I chown correctly (i think so) also ran these commands for permissions:

find . -type f -exec chmod 644 {} ;
find . -type d -exec chmod 755 {} ;

What could i be missing at this point?

here are some errors from logs:

On checking the administrator address it is coming up as though you haven’t removed the installation directory?
This might be causing the problem.

Thank you for your concern…fortunately I have resolved the issue last night (sun night) and it seems that I mistakenly dropped both the new template file and the comments zip files into the root of the domain, then unzipped the template file first, then i unzipped the comments file second, thus overwriting many of the template files in the root directory, such as the index.php file which messed up everything…

This was my incorrect installation of the new template and comments updates…so, I have resolved the issues by overwriting diecrtories with the newest “quickstart”….
