    Hello,

I installed the quickstart installation package for JA Medicare on my website. I went through the installation process (ID, password, MySQL) without any issue. I removed the installation folder. Then, I got a 403 Forbidden error by trying to access the user site homepage. I can access the administrator site without an issue

You don’t have permission to access /index.php on this server.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

It’s very strange with the problem on your site but I spent a lot of time to debug this bug and it comes from Site Offline option. When you set it to No, the problem on your site is gone, see the screenshot.

In this case, you need to contact system hosting provider and ask them to check the configuration of your hosting and make sure it can support the 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable error from ErrorDocument of your hosting.

    Regards

Thanks Ninja Lead for finding the issue. I forwarded the configuration question to the hosting company.

Meanwhile, I would to understand something. I installed Joomla to different hosting and usually when I put the Site offline to YES, there is a login prompt on the Site homepage by default, I didn’t need to do anything to have that login box to be displayed with the sole exception of Site offline = YES. If I understand Joomla correctly, this is the normal and expected behaviour. Does the error on my site means the hosting configured differently on how to handle the 503 error?

If there is now way to change the hosting configuration, as I installed the quickstart package, I need to put the site offline in order to customize it and adding contents while building it. Do you have a suggestion on how to deal with this situation?

    Many thanks!
