I’m a novice to Joomla. I just purchased JA Cooper and am attempting to install it.
The instructions say to install the zipped files “Templates” and “Extensions”. Did that.
Got error: ‘Warning: zip_entry_read()[function.zip-entry-read]: The bytes parameter must greater then zero in /home/content/b/u/t/butlerbroadcast/html/thefan/html/thefan/libraries/joomla/filessystem/archive/zip.php on line 238
I got that message twice.
when I clicked on “[function . . .] it went nowhere.
I have no Template Manager under “Extensions”

Thank you for the quick reply. Upgrading to super administrator fixed that problem.
Now I have more, (of course). I know this is due to my inexperience (I am a lowly
graphic designer), but now I can’t find how to get rid of the text in the title (namely
“JA COOPER”) – it’s running over my graphic. I have installed ‘EXTPLORER”, but
the JA COOPER files are NOT there. (Though JA PURITY files ARE there!) –
any simple recommendations? thanks in advance, CJ

Look in the template parameters in template manager, click on the template name and select graphic (or whatever is there besides text) to the right.
This is what I see in the Template manager:
‘The parameter file /templates/ja_cooper_business/params.ini is unwritable! ‘

Try setting permissions via ftp to 664 or 777, but if you set it to 777 make sure you set it back to 664 or 444.
