November 6, 2011 at 2:55 pm #170443i am totally new here , joomla , joomla templates and all things with it.
I wonder why there there isn’t a more user friendly guideline to use the templates .
I mean, why aren’t Quickstart packages not offered to beginners by default?
Like an A-Z video for dummies like me how to get the most of the templates is just isn’t there.
feel like giving up :(( and decided to reinstall joomla to my server, and now I can’t get past the page where I am asked to feed MYSQL info.
>:(Any advice would be appreciated.

November 6, 2011 at 3:14 pm #423430Hi ninshen,
JA offers QuickStart installation packages for all of our templates.
As for your MySQL info that’s related to your server, what i want to say is that you need to ask your host (if you can’t find that info from your cPanel ) for that info it’s not just joomla related.
Regards

November 6, 2011 at 8:41 pm #423466Thank you guys! The beer is on me if it was possible. 😉
Sorry for posting something when I was so weary and tired.
I did got holf of the server support, although their suggestions did not help me at time. Not their fault though.
I decided to take a few hours break. I cleared my database (not sure how I managed to do that) to start a new.Got back to my seat and read everything word to word and realised the QuickStart package has Joomla1.7 with it.
And I already had J1.7 installed. Anyway , I just have to be more patient as it will take the time it will take for me to put it all in place.
Let us see where this takes me 🙂Thanks again !
