You should verify host settings and be sure your configuration met the requirements, you can also open a ticket to your hosting provider and ask them to verify them for you.

Ja Elicyon quickstart file works fine , i just tested it on my local

I have the same problem, deleted everything downloaded the latest release of Joomla and it install perfectly.
I need the sample data to understand the template. I can install the template but not the data.

Any suggestions?

If you need the sample data to learn how it works, then you will need to install the quickstart version and not the template on a preinstalled joomla , quickstart install joomla plus demo template .

I’m trying with the quickstart, but it comes back to the previous screen after I click install.

Then as i already told in the post above, something is wrong with your configuration and do not meet requirements to install correctly, ask your hosting provider to set your space to allow correctly joomla installations.

Quickstart version is already tested and works great if environment is correctly configured.

Joomlart provides also a quickstart installation service for customers , if you are interested you can ask for a custom installation from THIS PAGE

When I check phpMyAdmin the tables are created, take a look!

I scrapped everything, re-downloaded the quickstart and this time it worked like it’s supposed to.
