Hi dear Joomlart community members,
I just purchased yesterday a registration to the Joomlart club and I am very excited about using the excellent Regulus Extra template in my forthcoming website. π
Being a newbie, I would like to have your feedback or help or any piece of information to the following issue :
I will use the nice transmenu from the Regulus Extra template and hide the moofx roller (I have read that this is achieved by unpublishing the user5 to user9 modules). OK for this! So far So good!
Instead of displaying the moofx roller, my ultimate objective is to integrate a FLASH VIDEO GALLERY just below the transmenu. This Flash video gallery should show clikable thumbnails of Flash videos (with the FLV extension) and also the actual video which is being read via the flash player. Ideally, I would love to have the EXACT SAME Flash video gallery as in http://www.neworleans.com
As a result, here are my questions :
1) Do you think that it is technically possible to adjust the Regulus Extra template to integrate such a gallery? If yes, could you please detail the instructions?
2) Do you know the name of Flash video gallery component or module which as been used in http://www.neworleans.com ? Is it a commercial addon or a custom development ? I have searched over the web but the only tools which I have found (like xe-media, sstreamtv) are not so good-looking and efficient
Thank you in advance for your help,
Best regards
Ourou π

</blockquote>Yes, you can. You need to include the html codes of the flash object into the desired area. You can either make such codes into a module. Also, be careful when using flash with transmenu and remember that the flash objects will be placed above all other layer (including transmenu)

I am not the fan of Flash and not sure what they are using at neworleans.com, they can do the similar thing at http://www.slideshowpro.net/September 6, 2006 at 9:44 am #210405Hi Hung Dinh,
First of all, I would like to thank you for your prompt reply to my request.
* Regarding the second question, I will have a look slideshowpro addon which is able to handle images and also FLV. Thanks for the tip! π
* Regarding my first question (technical feasibility to integrate a flash video gallery), I understand that the transmenu may be hidden by the flash objects because flash objects are always ABOVE all layers.
Well, if it is so, then my plan is to keep the moofx roller displayed normally BUT to include the flash video gallery just below the moofx roller. Ideally I would like the flash video gallery to be placed between the moofx roller and the joomla content (starting from the sentence βYou are here : homeβ).
==> You explained that I need to include the html codes of the flash object into the desired area and that I can make such codes into a module.
If I understand you correctly, I need to create a new module in the admin panel of joomla (OK) and to edit the HTML source of the module in order to include the Flash video gallery (OK) but I am wondering which POSITION I must choose?
I think that User5 to User9 positions are not the right positions (since they are assigned to the moofx roller). Do I have to do some other things in order to create / choose the appropriate position ? Is it all I need to do? :confused:It would be so kind of yours to detail the procedure in more depth.
Best regards,
