Hi I am trying to implement the Disqus hack for K2 found on http://simon.getk2.org/tips-and-tricks/item/283-integrating-disqus-commenting

The problem I am having now is finding the </body> tag in the template where I can paste the javascript code for the comment counter. And also disabling the comment that comes with the template.

Please advise what to do.

Hello

You need not hard code into the php file, now you create a custom module and put those js code in the content of the module and then you put this module at the “footnav” position

Hi I managed to get that sorted out but there seems to be an issue with JA Droid template and Disqus in Internet Explorer. The CSS for Disqus does not display properly for some reason. I tested it out with other templates including JA Purity and it renders fine but it breaks in JA Droid. The problem happens only with IE, Chrome and Firefox are fine. Please tell me how to fix this

Did you ever figure this out?
I tried to implement those instructions and it does not show up in chrome. I did not try any other browser as I did not see the point. It does not work for droid template but it works for other templates just like you found.

I decided to simply use the joomlart echo/disqus plugin.
