    Hello,
I’m using JA Sanidine II with Joomla 1.5.8 and Virtuemart 1.1.0.

I really would like to put the category menu of virtuemart in the JA menu on top of the template (JA-menu position), and use the Moo menu script for subcategories…

Is this possible ? It would be great to find a hack to call Virtuemart’s menu in the menu selection of the template in back end… !

I’ve been through many forums, but nothing about that…

    Hoping for your answers,
    Best Regards
    David

    Dear shapes !

Sorry you , but this is requesting heavy customization, I am afraid that you have to handle the changes at your end.

    Hi,

I can tell you a simpler way of achieving this.

    1. Create a menu and link your virtuemart.
    2. Start viewing the sub-categories of virtuemart. Copy each of the hyperlinks and just paste it in the notepad or something else.
    3. After that, Go to the menu menu, and create menu item’s using the URL type of menu.

Voila! You will have a nice working menu!!

This is a manual way of doing it, but its the best way you can do, without spending tons of money to get it custom coded…

    Regards,
    Mihir Chhatre.

    Hello mihirc,

    Thanks for your answer.

I allready link the menu by another way :

    http://www.destock1.com/destock1test/

The Moo menu displays the main menu,
and in the main menu, I created links to Virtuemart categories using virtuemart type of menu link…

It works, but it’s not automaticaly generated, and I have some IDs conflicts I think…

for example, if you go in image & son –> TVD/DVD –> Plasma,
everything works fine, but when I click on a product on the browse page, “aspirateur” for example,
it’s the “mode” button that gets highlighted in the main menu…

I made a test in the menu, creating a virtuemart link to the product…
If I go directly to “aspirateur” with the main menu, it works fine…

I really don’t understand this error,
and the breadcrumb pathway gets crazy also…

What would be the difference with your solution ?
Do you know if it would fix my bugs ?

Sorry for the length of the post… ;p

    Hope you’ll answer
    best regards
