    This is caused by the new IE 8 browser, that doens’t comply to normal css standards.
    You can override this by adding a meta-tag emulating IE 7 in your template before the head-tag

    This is not the trouble. That site does not work in ie6 or ie7. I do not have ie8… There is another site http://www.vogaskoli.is. Its have the same template and it works in ie.

    Do i maybe have some module og plugin on http://www.austurbaejarskoli.is that ie can not deal with?

    Thanks again,

    Ragnar Örn.

    Hi Folkbear,

    I have also this problem using IE8. I am using the ja_kulanite template with the quickstart installation but my header is not showing in IE8. Could you please be more informative as to adding a meta tag in my template?

    Please note I am not very technical so all help would be greatly appreciated!

    regards

    just install this bot and you should be fine in 7 and 8, 6 is a whole different story

    its not a JA issue, all browsers need their own specific coding as there is no global compliancy between browsers.

    is nothing on that link mj256,

    add this in your metag index.php template and see if it helps.

    <meta http-equiv=”X-UA-Compatible” content=”IE=EmulateIE7″ />
