I’m close to the finish of technical preparing the site but got stuck on ipad layout.

Tested with Firefox, IE, Chrome and android the home page looks ok everywhere. Did some in between testing using ipadgeek for ipad. Everything looked ok till somewhere in the final stage. Now the homepage on ipad is defragmented: menu bar, some empty lines, picture of slideshow, additional pictures from slideshow separate. I really don’t know where to find the issue.

Added last some testimonial code in custom module with some css in custom.css. But removal again doesn’t solve the problem.

It looks to me an issue with the slideshow lite in relation to something.

The external site is still password protected with same provided name/password as admin.

    Hope you can help.

    Hi @fronsky,

Please navigate to admin >>> Extensions >>> Template Manager >>> choose your template >>> then disable CSS Compression in General tab so I can have a look at the code.

    Strange ?!

During my break I did a quick check with ipadgeek on the site and now the home page looks ok?? I didn’t do any changes except what you asked about disabling css compress. Have you changed anything?

That would leave only some smaller issues on other pages.

And in addition I see on my localhost using the same ipadgeek session still the issue. I didn’t disable css compression there.

Just did the check: changed CSS compression setting on localhost and indeed has resulted in better home page. I don’t understand?

    Hi @fronsky,

No, I haven’t changed anything yet. As you can see in previous reply, you have CSS compression enabled so I just as you to disable it to check the code.

Could you please confirm your current status ?

As stated having CSS compression off “solved” the problem. I keep it with that for the moment because need to have the site live tomorrow.

I’ve uploaded a new version after having done some minor changes.

Another issue now arised. The site is multilingual (en-GB en nl-NL) and I had the languageswitcher module showing both icons. And now I see only the GB icon and the NL one “disappeared”.

    Hope someone can help.

    Hi,

I would suggest opening a new thread in regards to this problem since it’s not related to the one your initial post says and provide us with access to that site so we can help you.

    Regards

    Manos
