January 5, 2014 at 4:22 pm #193494Hi guys
Im working with joomla 2.5 and Argo template, everything is really good, no big problems with customization. I’ve tested responsive so long and layouts are very good but…client wants only the default layout, no responsive.
Here is my problem: i disabled responsive feature, im now using only one layout (desktop, default width 940px) for every device on the earth. On android devices no problem (desktop layout automatic fits screen size), on apple’s devices many problems! Desktop layout looks zoomed and i need to zoom out to view the entire home page (or other site section).
This image explains evereything:
Same problem with iPad on portrait view.
How can i enable the “android auto-fit view” even on iOS devices???
Thanks

January 5, 2014 at 10:22 pm #517401UPDATE
I think i found the solutions, more simple than i supposed…see this thread: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/problem-displaying-the-desktop-layout-on-ipad-and-iphone-jzite-joomla-2-5/
In templates/ja_argo/tpls/blocks/head.php just delete the code in red:
<!– META FOR IOS & HANDHELD –>
<meta name=”viewport” content=”width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0, user-scalable=no”/>
<meta name=”HandheldFriendly” content=”true” />
<meta name=”apple-touch-fullscreen” content=”YES” />
<!– //META FOR IOS & HANDHELD –>It works for me, and now desktop layout fit really good even on iOS devices, without zoom or anything else
