In the template manager have the layout settings for handheld, android, and iphone set to “iphone” however none of these settings are displaying the mobile version when used with a mobile device.

If I change the desktop setting to iphone, it works – non of the other display options work.

    Please help!!!

Hope the following clarification would be of help:

+ iPhone layout only works with iPhone device
+ Android layout only works with Android device
+ Handheld layout works with other mobile device other than iPhone and Android device

Please try to set the configuration of Handheld layout if you wish to test on non-(iphone & android) devices.

When I go to the android layout, there is no drop down selection for android… There’s only default, handheld, and iphone. Should there be another option for android?

Steps below would help to create a new one:

+ Go to Admin site -> Extensions -> Template Manager -> JA_Community_Plus – Default -> Layouts tabs -> click New and Create Android Layout.

Thank you, I created the layout by cloning the iPhone layout but I’m not sure how to program it to recognize the android. What steps do I take now? It’s still not working on the mobile device, even the iPhone is not working. I have the right items selected but the mobile versions are not coming up on the mobile device.

After creating or cloning a new layout from Layouts tab. You go to Profile tab, navigate to Layout Settings section and assign new layout to Android device.

Pls check our wiki page of T3v2 framework for more info: http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_T3_Framework_2/Guides#Layout_Settings

Once done, remember to clear JAT3 cache.

If you can’t get it done, send me URL of your site and admin login info via private message, I will help you out.

I have discussed with our T3v2 Framework development team, this issue comes from old version of T3v2 framework which we have stopped the development.

Please consider to use new T3 framework version: http://t3-framework.org/ which fix all problems from old version. You can have a look at the new T3 version’s documentation here.

I am terribly sorry for not mentioning this earlier.

I have installed the updated T3 plugins: jat3 v2.6.9, t3 v2.0.2 and I still get the same results. No working mobile versions…I have also updated the latest release of the template 1.0.6 – still no working mobile version.

It has been several days and my launch is delayed. PLEASE HELP with this matter. I can’t get the mobile version to work – there must be something preventing it from detecting the browser….

T3 v2.0.2 is a new T3 version and does not support JA Mendozite Template.

For the issue of JA T3 v2.6.9 framework plugin, I have raised this bug to our bug tracker system. You can check status at: http://pm.joomlart.com/browse/JAECPLGTIIIJOOMLAIVI-609. Hope the development team can figure it out soon.
