First, thanks for an awesome template! specially the built in iphone/handheld integration is great to have!
Now, i got som problems… The search box in iphone mode is partly visible (but in the same colour as the head eg darkgrey/black) so its hard to locate and, since i only can see half of the input its difficult to find. It doesnt mather if i got a logo or logo-text (logo-text doesnt work either by the way). ITs still not visible. How can i change this? I tried to do some changes in diffrent css without any luck, maybe i wasnt in the right lines?Login: The login button only opens up a darkgrey/black overlay over the whole screen in iphone mode (dont know bout handheld), there is no input fields, nothing, just darked out screen.
Im using Community Builder if that can lead you to some hint. I tried disable CB without any luck.
IS there anywhere i need to change in templates/css or in any other instance?
Please help me out and point me in the right direction!Any help would be highly appreciated
Version of Joomla, CB adn Purity ii is all the latest stable realeses
March 2, 2010 at 12:34 pm #334407Anyone who knows if its possible to point the iphone/handheld interface to cb_login instead of joomla original login?
Or, how can i block out the login & search button in iphone interface?
March 17, 2010 at 3:55 pm #336626Anyone?
Would appreciate any help on this…
April 4, 2010 at 12:51 am #339004I am also looking for a way to remove the the login icon for iphone and handheld layouts. I looked through the php files but it wasn’t clear (at least to me) which lines to comment out.
Could someone please help with this? When selected, the icon just opens up a dark gray screen as described by the OP (I’m using I-pod touch for testing).
Thanks in advance!
April 8, 2010 at 8:15 am #339577Still looking for a way to remove the login icon for iphone and handheld layouts. If anyone has any idea on how to do this it would be much appreciated.

May 21, 2011 at 10:10 pm #392292Hey guys
15 months on and this problem still persists…has nobody solved the glitch yet?
Is this subject being ignored, or is everyone on this list missing a simple point that nobody’s telling us?
The dark overlay shows, login doesn’t appear whatsoever.
I’d love to get this solved as the template is brilliant, and I do appreciate the hard work thats gone into it, and thank JA for this – I just figured 5 or 6 reports of the same problem would be something that might not get glossed over.
As we currently stand, I just have iphone voyeurs, not iphone users, as I have to disable login by using the handheld template only. :((
Please guys, give us a clue! :-*
June 14, 2011 at 1:29 pm #396307Hi
Not sure if you’ve had any luck with this but I found that the problem with the login was due to the fact that I only had the login module set to apear on certain pages. If you select the login to appear on ‘ALL’ it works on the iphone.
You can preview your iphone template in your browsers by entering http://www.yourdomain?main_layout=iphone
This can help you to view without having an iphone. I’m still working on the issue over the search and to solve my login issue I’ve removed the login button off the top navigation in the iphone template as I didn’t need it.
Still working on the Search one as this seems to be a css issue.
Hope its helped alittle.

June 23, 2011 at 7:12 am #397985Please view our demo in iphone, please don’t use http://www.yourdomain?main_layout=iphone. It isn’t correct. For test in iphone you could use this site:
As you will see in Iphone. our demo still works well. Thanks.

Hi, i have removed both the login and search buttons from the iphone layout by editing the file /layouts/blocks/iphone/mainnav.php
I just edited out the following code:
<?php if($this->countModules(‘search’)) : ?>
<a class=”toggle ip-button button-search” href=”#ja-search” title=”Search”>Search</a>
<?php endif; ?><a class=”toggle ip-button button-login” href=”#ja-login” title=”Login”>Login</a>
I hope this help you.
August 21, 2011 at 5:38 pm #407458I had the same problem and thanks to seanfold I have discovered which module and where this module was called for Iphones.
I have therefore publish the standard login module in debug position in addition to the CB login module on left.It works fine without any modification of the css.
“Alternatively, you can use only CB Login module to allow loging with ID or email. Then you need to modifiy the css to call for cblogin instead og loging.” : Sorry, it is not working, cache issue, I still had the standard login module.

ScubabyssAugust 22, 2011 at 7:28 am #407586Hi eyalp
Sorry, it’s my mistake. I have created a second CBLogin module in debug position and though it was working. I think it is a cache issue on safari on the iphone. Nevetheles this solution is not working.I have also publish the standard login module in “Login” position by typing it in the position field although this position is not explicitely existing in JApurityII. It is also working.
