Joomla Rel: 1.5.15 stable
Template: Rasite rel. 1.1.1
JA Ext Manager: rel. 1.5.6. oct 2011JA_RASITE Template settings:
Menu Module: mainmenu
Menu type: megamenuDefault layout: default;
Iphone: default (I want to put ‘default’ view for Ipad and tablet users…)
Handheld: defaultNow: with IPAD all it’s ok BUT only MAIN MENU is not correct running (only a menu voice with all other sub-menĂ¹)
My Question:
How is it possible to set ‘iphone’ view to see ALL site LIKE in default mode (with MAIN MENU in megamenu horizontal standard mode?!) (in all old posts I’ve read I haven’t found solutions to my question).p.s. With JA Ext Manager I see ‘JA_Rasite New version found! but it doesn’t start if I click on ‘Upgrade Now’, it remains in loop…
All other modules are now well upgraded. View of site is http://www.prati.bizThanks!

October 31, 2012 at 7:14 am #471538I have checked your guide but i see:
1) iPad is running default layout (like running on PC)
2) JA Ext Manager could not upgrade so you try to download new version JA Rasite directly here again: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=10159
3) You can disable all layouts and run the default layout, look at the attached file-

October 31, 2012 at 10:37 pm #471599Many thanks Ninja!
I WANT default view on IPad, and I WANT SAME megamenu but mainmenu is displayed like ‘simple-vertical-menu’ :((
I want to see with IPad the megamenu type “default” (settings voice ‘iphone’ in ‘default’ mode).
The megamenu is still shown on my iphone as some scroll menu… I found this thread for another ja-template hoping in a solution…
***********************
Mr Aimsln asked MY SAME PROBLEM with another template inhttp://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/deactivate-iphone-and-handheld-layout/
And discussion ran…:
Mr Aimsln: […] The megamenu is still shown on my iphone as some scroll menu!
Mr Phan Gam answered: Hi, Sorry, maybe I didn’t get your meaning. Do you want to hide mega menu in Iphone, Handheld Devices?
I have checked, when user switch to Iphone or Other Devices, mega menu auto replace by simple menu. So you can not deactive them.<blockquote>Exactly that does not help. The megamenu is still shown on my iphone as some scroll menu! </blockquote>
When you deactivate iphone/handheld layout, your site will be using screen layout for all devices, so on your iphone, you can see mega menu. Finally Mr Jwbrett wrote:
1. Open file templates/ja_yourtemplate/layouts/blocks/iphone/mainnav.php
2. Comment this line
if (!($mobile = $this->mobile_device_detect())) return;****************************************
but for me – Rasite user – it doesn’t run! :((
I hope in ‘Halloween night’: maybe a Joomlart’s witch will help me tonight! đŸ™‚

November 1, 2012 at 2:19 am #471616Thanks for feedback.
Phan Gam did answer and it is correct that mega menu does not support iphone layout.
For Jwbrett ‘s answer, he wrote that: You can customize about menu on iphone layout.
If you want to disable all layouts and run with default layout on all devices, pls follow this
On another way, may be it is out of our support scope and you can customize by yourself or contact to http://www.joomlancers.com and get other guy to settle down.

November 1, 2012 at 9:33 pm #471703News from server:
It says me this error:
mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Notice: Undefined index: HTTP_ACCEPT in /var/www/vhosts/casilina.net/httpdocs/templates/ja_rasite/libs/mobile_device_detect.php on line 72This line 72 says:
$accept = $_SERVER[‘HTTP_ACCEPT’]; // get the content accept value – this should be cleaned to ensure no nefarious input gets executed**********************************************
Is the file ‘mobile_device_detect.php’ the problem’s key?!
Is it possible to solve upgrading it?!Ninja Lead ModeratorNinja Lead

November 12, 2012 at 11:59 am #472655Ninja-Lead thanks, I wrote to my server admin.
But about my ‘problem’ (I want to see SAME view on my Ipad/Iphone like PC Desktop) I understand that it’s impossibile, or not?!If you have RASITE template (and theme iphone setting is cheked on ‘desktop’) you can see ALL like Desktop but not menĂ¹ that Ipad user see like ‘simple-menĂ¹’. BUT if I click on ‘Desktop menĂ¹’ at bottom after I can see perfect menu!
Why is’it impossible to see immediately our MAIN MENU on Ipad like a Pc-user??
Maybe it’s a RASITE problem (If yes ok I don’t bother you any more) đŸ™‚

November 12, 2012 at 12:04 pm #472656It is possible. As stated early on disable all the views other than the default in the template manager.
However we cannot support installs from Joomla 1.5.x. You really need to upgrade to Joomla 2.5.x as J1.5 has not been supported for quite some time and has some known and major security flaws.

You can show Ipad/Iphone like PC Desktop on your site.

Ok done (as you can see in my other reply) but nothing: the megamenu is still shown on my Ipad as some scroll menu…
Then if I ‘tap’ on my Ipad screen on footer-voice ‘desktop view’ all is ok on Ipad site-homepage! Grrrrr >:(
