heloo i’m very new in joomla and website design in general
and i want to make a side bar to show sub menu items like the mega menu (or something similar)

Sorry, please explain the issue more detail, i do not understand the exact requirement. If you wish to dock the mega menu from the top nav to other position, then it would take lot of customization, which i am afraid is out of scope of the Support.
