    I am modifying one of the Ja Quartz templates. I replaced the body-bg.jpg with one of my own. Is there any way to have the new image stretched to fit the screen? I do not want the image to repeat at all just remain fixed when I scroll. If this is possible can someone please provide me with the code and a simple explanation on how and where to insert it? I’m still new to all of this and trying to learn. Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hi yooni216,

    For this case, open template.css file in templates/ja_Quartz/css folder and use this code for inserting the image background:

    background: url(your image) repeat;

    Hope it helps

    Hello,

    I tried the suggestion given to modify the CSS in the template however nothing has happened and my images are still tiled.

    The code I modified now looks like this:

    }

    body#bd {

    background: url(../images/body-bg.jpg) repeat ;

    }

    My website is http://www.flavoroftuscany.com

    In my templates manager in Joomla it does say that the template and the CSS template file are ‘unwriteable’ however I have downloaded the CSS files into Dreamweaver and have seen that the changes I have made are being saved so I don’t understand what is happening.

    The image I am using is a comp from iStock.com as I don’t want to pay for a stock image without first trying it out. I have downloaded the original body-bg image from the autumn theme and have mimicked the properties using Gimp on my comp but to no avail!

    If someone could help I would really appreciate it. 🙂

    Thank you,

    Hayley

    Hello,

    I have added the photo again so you can see that the image is still tiled. Please let me know how to correct this.

    Thank you,

    Hello,

    This is a link to my homepage where you will see the tiled image – http://flavoroftuscany.com/index.php

    You will see that the background image is tiled. I would like this image to not tile and look the same as the original autumn theme.

    If you could either tell me what I must do in the code to fix this, or provide me with the standard measurements for an image being used as a background I would appreciate it.

    I have tried the option that you provided by changing the css on the template to background: url(your image) repeat; but this has not fixed my problem.

    Please let me know how to fix this as soon as possible.

    Thank you

    Hello,

    I have managed to fix this problem by using a large image.

    Please close my ticket and thanks for all your help.
