February 22, 2010 at 5:17 pm #148917Hello,
In light of the release of JA Teline III, is it still recommended to use JA Teline II for a brand new website?
One of ,my clients likes the look and feel of Ja Teline II and doesn’t like JA Teline III, and I told her I suspect it may not be in their best interest since possibly all the Joomlart resources are focused on JA Teline III now.
Please let me know ASAP if this indeed the case or not so I may status them accordingly, as they insist on JA Teline II
Thank you!

I have a little of understanding on the issue, but i think that you should install a quickstart and try to check this on there :), that is the best example

February 26, 2010 at 5:08 am #333954Dear seaneo,
Teline III runs on T3 Framework, and needless to say, it is far superior to Teline II or Teline, in terms of features / flexibility / speed and performance.
T3 framework has proved to be the best of the framework around, some of the other template club would be using it too in the coming months.I would suggest you to try the Teline III to take the advantage of the new framework, which also gives you handheld and iphone mobile devices support natively.
If you have fallen in love with Teline II design, well, we can’t stop you from using it. Teline II is an active template and is used very widely across the globe.
Its a choice you have to make, both are good and stable.
regards
Arvind

February 26, 2010 at 6:14 am #333956Hi Sean
I would personally say there’s absolutely nothing wrong in using Telline II if you really like it!
For instance, I have three travel and tourism sites, the first two:
http://www.questgreekislands.com
Are using Telline II and I have no desire to change them.
However, I have updated the third site to Telline III:
The reason for this (as drarvindc said) was one of our advertisers insisted on mobile phone support.
However, if this is of no great interest for your client, then T2 should be fine!
Good luck with your project
