If you visit http://www.svenskasjohus.com you will notice that it takes an extremely long time before the first page appears.

I got the following message from my servcie provider (text in red):

The website is indeed loading much slower than expected. I have checked the issue in details and noticed that your website is generating large amount of slow MySQL queries, which are the most probable reason for the issue. Here is an examples of the slow queries:

I have run a repair on your database to make sure that the slow queries are not caused by corrupted table. Additionally, I have enabled the Joomla caching function, which should speed up your website loading.

I would like to hear your comments if it is the template it self that is causing this error or if it something else.

This problem is naturally very important for me to solve, so I would appreciate a quick reply.

I didn’t think the load time was bad. I guess that doens’t help you, but just to let you know.

Do you have caching enabled? You could try that and see if it helps.

Thanks for your comments and good to hear that it is not too long before the site appears.

Yes, the caching is enabled.

If you have any other ideas why there are so many MySQL quires which slows down the site, I would be interested to hear them.
