    Hi,

On the front page in the demo of ja urani, there’s the gallery slider in the tabs position – is this just a front page gimmick, or is there a functional gallery feature which can be used for large numbers of images with ease?

I’ve been looking into gallery plugins as i want to make an entire gallery section within my site, but wanted to check if i’m just missing out on the built in gallery feature which might come with this template.. from what i can see in the page which feed into the frontpage ‘gallery’ section, it’s just manually placed images, which isn’t really much good for a great number of images – it woul take too long, an i need to display them all in their own page …

    any help greatly appreciated

    Hi bookpeg

In this place, we are using two custom html modules to show
You can install a quickstart package and check our configuration in the case

To my understanding, it is NOT a galerie. It is a custom module that they used and added some pictures to it. It is the same thing with Ja Hailite. If you need a galerie head to http://www.extensions.joomla.org
Probably those who have installed and used the template will be able to confirm it or explain better.

The gallery slider can be use as a means of navigation to a different page. Possibly one that contains your gallery or an individual picture. Do bare in mind that this it isn’t automatic (doesn’t pull images out of a folder). You will have to type in the HTML for each and every picture that you want to display.

If you are looking for a automatic solution, you can take a look for image gallery modules from joomla.org
    e.g. http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/photos-a-images/photo-gallery/6828
