In the magazine layout on my testpage:

There si a column next to the main content: “More News” is this a module or what is it and where can I edit this?

Hi,

Go to this File : templates/purity_iii/css/layouts/magazine.css

Find this code

.magazine-links::before { display: inline-block; content: “MORE NEWS”; background: #444444 font-weight: normal; padding: 5px 10px; margin-bottom: 10px; color: #fff }

you can find the MORE NEWS text , replace it with any text you need

Thanks for that ! Hmmm. editing magazine.css in:
templates/purity_iii/css/layouts/magazine.css
and
templates/purity_iii/css/themes/orange/layouts

makes no difference.

What am I missing?

Please clear cache in the Administrator-> Systems -> Clear Cache

I found it. Firebug pointed me in the right direction:
/t3-assets/dev/orange/templates.purity_iii.less.layouts.magazine.less.css
