Hi,
I’m using the “JA Cagox Quick Start” I get the error message as the attachment when “Installing Sample Data”

But when I install without Sample Data, the installation goes well.
Install Sample Data
None (Required for basic native multilingual site creation)

I changed the database collation to format utf8_general_ci” but did not help!

Please help!

Hi success_bus,

Please try to proceed the following steps:
– In PHPMyadmin, create a new database and choose utf8_general_ci collation for this database
– In the quickstart package and select to install sample data

I also apply this way and install it successfully.

I have to admit I don’t understand why Joomlart doesn’t allow for this during install or have it in utf8_general_ci in the first place, BUT if you have to update yours here is a truly ‘easy’ solution –
