January 3, 2014 at 6:32 pm #193448I’m pretty sure the issue does not relate with the template, but I was not sure where to post it, so I went for the easiest choice.
I have a J! 2.5.13 using Puresite template. I have to install two lang packs (Spanish & Italian), however, when choosing
Language Manager from the admin menu, I’m presented with picture 1 where there are two “blank” entries in the languages list and also getting errors of xml missing files.
It seems some months ago those lang packs were installed; there was a first install and later it was migrated to another directory, I was not in full charge of the website at that time so I do not have more details.I went to phpmyadmin, and in the languages table there were entries for those languages. So, I deleted those entries. As you can see from picture 2, currently the only language in the table is the default one.
However, issue shown in picture 1 still remains.
Also, if I choose “Install Languages” I got picture 3… really do not know why the JA Accordion Module is listed so many times there… the admin reports a total of 5887 pages…I tried to do a “Database –> Fix” after surfing for some tips, but, whenever I tried I got the error in picture 4.
So, right now I’m at lost…that’s why I decided to post this and wait till Monday for some answer to clarify my mind…
Have a nice weekend.

January 4, 2014 at 3:00 am #517339You can try following steps to resolve your language problem:
– Check out the permissions of the files in /language/ language.
– Try to re-install the Italian and Spanish language packages. It is recommended to install the language package that is compatible with your current Joomla version (i.e it-IT_joomla_lang_full_2.5.13v1.zip)
– The JA Accordion Module duplicated in the install languages table by the cache. You just need to check the extensions and click Purge cache.ishavana Friendishavana

January 6, 2014 at 9:01 pm #517572Thanks a lot Leo, Purge cache solved the long list of JA Accordion, and I installed Italian pack already. However, the installation files for Spanish package in joomlacode.org have version 2.5.17, there is not other versions listed. Should I try with that one, or is there any other place where I may find the proper version files?
Thanks again

January 7, 2014 at 1:31 am #517586Dear Viena,
Yes, you can give it a try. Normally, the Spanish language package v2.5.17 will contain the language update to v2.5.13.
