Hi

I try to install the Purity III quickstart and get the following error
simplexml_load_file(): I/O warning : failed to load external entity "file:/C:/SITES/purity/modules/mod_easydiscuss_most_hit/mod_easydiscuss_most_hit.xml" in C:SITESpuritylibrariescmsinstallerinstaller.php on line 1940

I checked in the module folder and indeed there is no folder mod_easy…

Could you please help

Seems you are on localhost, could you try installation on a completely new environment ?

New database and new empty folder ?

it’s a new install
the quickstart package tries to installe mod_easydiscuss which is not include in the zip file

that’s why it went back to step 3

You should publish your website on a public host and try again installation , i cannot replicate your issue , this is your database setting issue. despite sample_data.sql file contains settings for mod_easydiscuss it should be installed only if you have component installed.
But since you are on localhost we cannot debug your local settings too.

I don’t have a websie where I caninstall it – I want to install it locally just to see how it’s used for example to have the block only on first page

the message indicates that it’s an issue with the use of the file (and this file doesn’t exists in the zip file
think it’s related to that missing file and not to db config
as I succeed to install the official Joomla locally

We cannot help if you are on localhost, i tested quickstart file on my local and i have no problems with it

I put the files on http://joomladeveloppement.free.fr/purity/
and get the same issue

I cannot see any website at this url , try to download again quickstart files and unzip them on the host
