For the style issue , please check the Menu test template style and see is it using the same template style that is used by other menu .
Maybe the issue is due to different template style using different theme .

I have set the template style to the same style that I’m using at the rest of the website, but again when clicking on the menu, the template style is not the one I set from the menu configuration.

Hi first i suggest you to take a backup of site and update T3 plugin to latest version . For the issue i checked the menu item and its loading the correct css file . check this : http://prntscr.com/bsowrn

please note template is ready for Joomla3.4.1 at this time .

Hello,

As I can see from the updates, there is no update available for T3 plugins. Please see attached.

Additionally, my question is that since its loading the correct css file, why in the "roster" section (or any additional menu) is presenting a totally different layout from the homepage?

Could u give me screenshot for the differences that you are getting in homepage and the roaster page .

Except Both are using different menu type and modules ,that makes different in layout , its normal .
Hope it clear now .

For the update , All JA extensions are only updated via JA Extension manager component . you need to configure it and then update T3 from JAEM .
