October 11, 2013 at 5:08 pm #191316Site is fine, but when viewed in IE compatibility view the site appears skewed, particularly JA Image Hotspot. See attached and website at http://www.icac.org.jm. Please help.

October 11, 2013 at 6:49 pm #508772Ok. So how do I resolve this? Also, if I view from joomlart.com, JA Beranis in compatibility view using IE, the same thing happens. See image:

October 11, 2013 at 7:59 pm #508778Well, a user that is using IE9 seems to have that issue (it only happen in Compatibility View). The user has indicated that she does not have “Compatibility View” on. So I have placed this code within the header – <meta http-equiv=”X-UA-Compatible” content=”IE=9″ > hoping to force the browser not to view in Compatibility view.
Will that help her?

October 11, 2013 at 10:04 pm #508783Her pc may still be in compatibility view even though it doesn’t look like it. In IE got to Tools>compatibility view settings and get her to check the settings there particularly the check boxes at the bottom. Usually one of the top 2 boxes are ticked or your site is in the list. IE compatibility view is a bit of a compromise on the rendering engine so many sites will not display well when using it.
