I am having an issue with the way Magazine categories are displayed. Even though i have set
Leading Articles 1
Intro Articles 6
Columns 3
only 2 intro articles are being displayed in 1 column. No matter what settings i make it still displays the same, no changes whatsoever.
Attached are pictures of my settings and how the articles are displayed.Note. i have chosen Purity III – Magazine for template style as default for all pages.

July 11, 2017 at 6:34 am #1047558Hi
Kindly apply the suggestion on live site shared by you.
It’s still showing 2 columns in settings http://prntscr.com/fu6o7h
Set it to 3 and check.
RegardsJuly 11, 2017 at 6:39 am #1047561Yes i change it, and what it does it changes to this: http://prntscr.com/fu6ozx
which is what i DO NOT want. What i want to change is the display of the layout when you click this: http://prntscr.com/fu6pu1
But no matter the settings that page: http://prntscr.com/fu6pm0
stays the same.Pankaj Sharma ModeratorPankaj Sharma

July 11, 2017 at 7:03 am #1047572Hi
This is not from the settings, you have to customise the layout file of this menu to change the view as you want to show on site.Regards
July 11, 2017 at 7:28 am #1047587Yes, i have…but front page only…when i uncomment the code, the issue remains…so the Magazine home is not the problem but rather Magazine category. The file i have changed is magazine_featured.php which i believe influences only the "frontpage". Thank you for your time.
July 11, 2017 at 8:41 am #1047628Im sorry, i misread your post. No, this actually should be default functionality of the purity III template, but for some reason for me it is not reading the configuration. See here:
On another installation of the template these configurations work fine.

I tried to check the issue on fresh package but I am not able to replicate it, Did u added any customization on the site that results this issue.
Or you can provide me steps how to replicate this issue on the template package?July 12, 2017 at 6:17 am #1047992I am not able to replicate the issue as well…the only customization was done to the "magazine_featured.php" file located in purity_iii/html/com_content/category/magazine_featured.php. I commented out the part of the code that shows some of the articles in the Magazine frontpage. Returning the code to the original state does nothing in regards to the magazine category page. I used a file and folder comparison software to check for differences between a fresh install of the template and the one in my site and no differences were found (apart from some css and that file).
