February 13, 2008 at 2:39 am #125666I must be missing something. Look at my home page http://www.gatorwalls.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=frontpage&Itemid=1, the slide show thumbnail bar is longer than the image. Can anyone tell me why please?
Also this gallery, http://www.gatorwalls.com/index.php?option=com_rsgallery2&Itemid=53, looks nothing like the demo I have tried to make the thumb nails bigger but it will not work.
Also on the home page the janews looks nothing like the demo. The type is nice and evenly spaced how did you do that?
I need to get this looking better so any help will be appreciated. Thanks
BTW I am using Joomla 1.5

February 13, 2008 at 10:59 am #239066Guys,
I have been a member for around 3 years. A developer member. I shelled out the money how about a little response? I am trying to use this with a paying client. Your templates are usually great but this one has very poor documentation. Will you continue to support it? Is 1.5 recommended? Because that’s what I installed. If it isn’t you should not assume every member reads every news post and put a graphic that clearly says TEMPLATE IS 1.5 BETA DO NOT USE ON PRODUCTION SITES. Now I have issues with the news module. There is no spacing between articles. Also my ja-rssslide module thumbnail background image extends into the white area.
(Guess what I fixed it by going to your demo site and copying the background image and uploading it to my server – I shouldn’t have to do that!!)
Also on the main gallery page the two columns are so close to each other they almost touch. Does not look like the demo. Also one of the categories gets kicked down to the bottom of the page. I need this to work correctly so believe me when I say any helpful solutions will be appreciated.

February 13, 2008 at 12:48 pm #239076Ok, here comes my 50 cent about this:
I would NOT used Joomla 1.5 for a live site yet, atleast not if i had a paying customer.
There is too much changes in the 1.5 compared to 1.xx and not many com/mod’s to offer yet.
RSGallery2, do you need to use legacy mode on 1.5, what i read from the rsgallery site it works in legacy mode, but i am not sure
about the JA version(i have no clue what they have modified on it at all).
Templates converted to 1.5 NEEDS to be tested very well before the release(not sure if that have happened either).
Before the release for 1.5 all known errors should be taken care of on the 1.xx templates before start with the 1.5 versions.Peter Konstantakos FriendPeter Konstantakos

February 13, 2008 at 3:34 pm #239082Ok I have most things looking better but I still can’t get tthe news to dispay nice like the demo. Look at it in IE7 and the top is cut off. Help!
This is the 1st site I am doing in 1.5 because it is not that big. I guess I could have done it in 1.0 but it seems to work besides the news module.
It seems that if your gallery description text extends beyoud the size of the Description image the page layout will not render like the demo. So I have fixed that. Thanks.
