Hey guys,
I’m having a little problem with VM product categories at the moment. Whenever I click on any of the categories link, the browse page will always be shown below some other module, for example the ja-news.
The same thing happens when the fly page is selected as well. I’ve tried to source around but can’t seem to find a solution for this, please help, thanks!

September 9, 2007 at 8:01 pm #229167Hi
See the link in my signature below on how to get Ja-News to stop showing on every page.September 10, 2007 at 2:24 am #229182Hey Instantinlaw,
Thanks for your quick reply. I’ve actually did the modifications with the you fix you provided earlier and the issue I’m facing here is not related to that problem. After playing around the components, I realize the issue lies with the SEF component.
Apparently, I’ll have to purge all the SEF when I’m creating new categories and if that’s not done, the links will somehow result in corruption and the end result will be the modules (irregardless of ja-news or any other module) that are shown in Homepage will always appear when you click on the categories modules.
Anyway, I still have to thank you for the fix you’ve provided because it just saves me from the couple more strands of hair I’ll have to pull.

September 10, 2007 at 11:54 am #229199I’m glad you figured it out.
Have you tried sh404SEF as an SEF component? I am using it and it has caused no problems.
The home page is down, but you can get it from the joomla site.

Anyway, I went through your video, great stuff, especially the image adding part and I was thinking of doing it the hard way, LOL.

Well I’m glad the videos were of some help anyway.
Good luck with your site. -
