Not sure what happend. One minute I was happily discovering all the greatness of JAT3 and then, blam, lots of options appear greyed out and I can no longer change settings in the template.
I have chosen to use the “google-font” profile and have edited with custom CSS, etc. (yes, I did double-check that my CSS looked correct).
I also tried cloning the “google-font” profile and setting the cloned profile as the Profile Override under Global tab, to no avail (cloned profile items still greyed out). Strangely, instead of showing the cloned profile it displays the site as if I had chosen the “default” (but _does_ show the correct cloned profile as the one chosen).
I’ve read in some other posts about a rebuildDB link (which I cannot find anywhere), could this be applicable to my issue?
Please advise on next steps. Thank you!

November 25, 2010 at 8:59 am #364241Hi,
Please post a link to your site so I can have a look.Meanwhile, you can check these:
– after any change in a profile, make sure you apply the changes;
– after changing global, also make sure you apply changes
– check write rights for local folder, that is where your themes and profiles go
– always clean cache (T3 cache also) after any change
– in front-end, the user input is prior to any back-end settings, this means that if a profile is set as default in global config, any other profile selected in front-end can be loaded, so check thisHope it helps,

November 26, 2010 at 4:53 pm #364403Hi Korb, thanks for the reply.
Yes, I am applying my changes regularly.
Write rights in folders as follows:
public_html [750]
public_htmlt3-assets [755]
public_htmltemplates [755]
public_htmltemplatesja-t3-blank [755], all folders inside ja-t3-blank are [755]
public_htmltemplatesja-t3-blankparams.ini [555]
public_htmltemplatesja-t3-blankindex.html/php, info.xml [644]… not sure which is the actual “local folder”.
Turned cache off in joomla global config, and cleaned cache in, dohh! Just figured it out.
Total newB mistake! So, looks like I had the checkboxes unchecked to the right of the fields that were grayed out. If I check them, I am again able to edit the fields in question. Could have sworn I checked this, but it looks like it’s working now.
Thanks for your time!

November 27, 2010 at 4:07 am #364441You need to set permission to allow php writing configuration’s data into the params.ini file and all ini file in the local foder
Please try again
Thanks
