March 17, 2009 at 6:39 am #139223Now do you think this is a useful module/plugin/component/extension, besides that it is obviously useful for some people, don’t you think webdesigners should be the ones who work on their sites to make the site compatible to IE8 and not only relying on using a plugin like this to let the browser switch automatically, even without the agreement of the users, as now you simply take over the control of their property they have installed on their computers and it is not just a simple note to turn on the compatibility mode but you play big brother and simply turn on this mode in their browser.
Let the poll show what you think!

March 22, 2009 at 5:01 pm #297318I can’t stand it, first you simply turn it on although the user has not agreed to let his browser switch to this mode and second, any web developer should take the efforts to make the own sites compatible to IE8 natively and not using plugin or meta tag.
November 30, 2009 at 5:12 am #325265Just wondering if the IE8 Compatibility plugin is available through here.
It is no longer available through the JED.Thanx

July 6, 2010 at 11:07 pm #349159Yep! the link to the poll is active… Thanks for the heads up… really appreciate it.
July 6, 2010 at 11:21 pm #349161It’s not working on mine. Should I restart the Internet Explorer browser for it to take effect?
thanks.
July 6, 2010 at 11:32 pm #349163@Chevrolet Rims, you should try restarting your internet explorer because there are times that you really need to restart your browser for changes to take effect.
July 6, 2010 at 11:49 pm #349165That’s right. I installed the plug in in my browser and restarted it first for it to work. Hope this helps. thanks.
July 7, 2010 at 2:11 pm #349249My installation is not going through. It says that there is a pop up that the browser is preventing to install? What does that mean?
July 7, 2010 at 2:47 pm #349251@growth charts, you just have to click on that bar that says there is a pop-up blocker so that the installation will go through. That is very common to all browsers especially in Internet Explorer.
