Look Guys,

What’s the story with JA_Social? Is it T3 Responsive same as all other recent layouts? I installed 3.2 quickstart and I get this:

>>You need to install cURL, see: http://curl.haxx.se/docs/install.html<<

Then when I go in to look at my featured articles, they all talk about J2.5. Have I installed J2.5 instead of 3.2? Is that the reason I’m getting this weird message referring to cURL?

I informed you earlier that there was some mix up on your download page (See need clarification thread). But I used the new download link that was suppose to be good for J3.

Anyway, can someone please tell me what I need to do get the proper feature page to come up?

Again… from Administrator… I click the JA_Social preview icon, and instead of pulling up the feature page I get a page with only this >>You need to install cURL, see: http://curl.haxx.se/docs/install.html<< in huge letters

Works the same if I type the site address directly into my URL address bar.

Please tell me why this is.
Thank You

Hi

Could you please send me via Private Message a super user account to your website ?

It is not clear to me what you have on your website

I went ahead and enabled cURL and the site pulls up now. But I need to confirm that this cURL command is ok. Is this suppose to be in PHP and is it suppose to be enabled? I’m not familiar with it and haven’t had to use it on any other sites.

(I’m working on my local site, if that makes any difference… but haven’t needed it on any others local or online)

Thanks

Hi

cURL Library is part of php and it should be enabled, it that allows you to connect and communicate to many different types of servers with many different types of protocols.

In your specific case ( JA Social ) it is needed to communicate with some libraries contained in Jomsocial component installation
