April 28, 2015 at 2:12 am #205892The JA ACM module “Trending Topics” that I set up in header-1 position is blank.

I’ve configured the module pretty much the same as on your demo site version.

There are articles in all selected categories, some as recent as from yesterday.

April 28, 2015 at 10:51 am #568660I haven’t understood a word of what you just said. You might as well write in Hindi or Chinese to me.
Have you any idea how frustrating it is to wait for 24 hours for an answer how to fix a critical problem like this and then get some short hand answer in incomprehensible techo speak that might make sense to a Joomlart engineer who works full time with that technology in question but not to someone who like me is dealing with this JA ACM feature for the first time?
I have just upgraded from JA University to JA Teline because of SEO-problems with the old template and now my 10000 readers per day site’s most important feature, its news section hasn’t been working for over 24 hours. I’m not happy.

1) If you read documentation it is clear how to set the Trending Topics JA ACM Module
Take a look HERE how to set Topic for various content types
It doesn’t seems to be so complicated and technical as you said

Have you any idea how frustrating it is to wait for 24 hours for an answer how to fix a critical problem like this

2) Take a look also at the support policy page HERE

Support Timing?
Support is available Monday to Friday 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM with reply time of max 24 hrs.
And this is not a critical problem , since your website is accessible and working fine.on frontend

April 28, 2015 at 10:04 pm #568734I thought you were talking about the Featured News and News Category Listing ACM. I mixed up the two tickets. My mistake.
I tried switching the setting for the Trending News module from “Default” to “Topic”. It made no difference. I’m still getting a blank.

April 29, 2015 at 2:33 pm #568826I have changed – for test purpose – the module in header-1 position from the ACM “Trending” module to a custom HTML module with just a picture. For some reason hat pictures does not displayed if all caching turned off.

April 29, 2015 at 3:08 pm #568834You have a lot of 3rd party systems plugins installed
System – Canonical
System – JCH Optimize Pro
System – Techjoomla Assets Loader
jLike API System Plugin
and many othersAlso your website is running on an ssl https protocol and this requires that pages should be set with secure = On
You have to test disabling all your system plugins one at once to verify which one is giving problems

April 30, 2015 at 6:32 am #568903The problem occurs irrespective of the mentioned plugins. It occurs even if the mentioned plugins are disabled.
However, I’ve decide against pursuing that matter any further because having this carousel/slideshow running might look fancy, but doesn’t help with my effort to bring the page opening speed of my site down to an acceptable level, under 1.5 seconds.
