I am using Jomsocial 1.6 within a Joomla 1.5.23 standard installation. I have a bucket set up in Amazon S3, the videos and photos do get to S3. The photos work great as they should. Videos however do not seam to process.

Prior to this I contacted my hosting provider, and as it is shared hosting, FFMEPG & Flvtool2 are not compatible, however i did read somewere (cant remember where) that when using Jomsocial 1.6 & Amazon S3, FFMEPG & Flvtools are not needed…..

The videos are transferring to Amazon S3, but not processing or playing back in my site, Can anyone advise please, or has anyone else done any kind of configuration they can advise on?

Additionally I have downloaded JA Amazon S3 to try to assist my problem with no luck,

Any advice would be much appreciated,

    Thanks in advance 🙂

    Hello mate,

To use live HTTP streaming you must sign up Amazon EC2 running Adobe’s Flash® Media Server and Amazon Route 53 (AWS’s DNS service).

Please read Amazon Webservice’s document for more information.
