Hi there Has anyone made ja_antares template for joomla 1.6/1.7 yet or have ideas how to use it on joomla 1.6/1.7? I have a customer that had some security issues and we decided to upgrade. To find out that the template will not work. Can anyone help me. They really love the template.

How did you try to upgrade the template/site?
I have updated 1.5 to 1.6 with jupgrade migration tool. however the templates dont get migrated. So I added the antares folder in ftp templates and the 1.6 didnt pick it up. I dont have a copy because it was done ages ago by another web develper that has moved overseas. If it is 1.6 compatible then maybe I can install a copy direct?? what do you think.

Antares is currently not available for Joomla 1.6/7/2.5 Sorry. If you are good with code then it would not be too hard to update but still quite a bit of work. Maybe you should pick on of our new T3 templates?
Oh, and J1.6 is no longer supported so you should consider upgrading to Joomla 2.5.
Thanks, but clients just love the template. Unless you have one that runs similar with the newfeeds that i could suggest. Yes I know that 1.6 is no longer, however just getting everything sorted then will update to 2.5. I just thought because some of the others have been upgraded to use as 1.6 that maybe this one might be in the pipeline. I just saw on another site that this template was 1.5/1.6 compatible, obviously it isnt. This was why we took the chance to upgrade. 🙁

There is nothing in Antares that cannot be done in the new templates. As you are not currently a member you could try one of the free JA templates.
