I’m just curious as to what the difference is between them apart from the colour scheme’s?

Is there any reason to switch from say… JA Avian to the dark coloured JA Avian II?

    Cheers.

I know that version 2 works with IE6, version 1 did’nt show usermodules 6,7,8,9,10 correctly. But I agree that a list of what’s different would be good

Something else I’ve been wondering about are the rsslide / menu modules.

Is anyone else finding that they’re not SEF safe/compatible under 1.5? I also have the template running under 1.0.13 but with SEF disabled so no problems here.

I’ve partially fixed up rsslide so that it works with SEF, but the menu is giving me problems. I suspect that the pages have been cached so my changes aren’t having any effect, because I’m baffled as to why it still isn’t working.

    Edit:
Never mind found the cause and its with Joomla:
“We currently still have a problem with proper URL generation when the legacy mode is enabled, this problem will be fixed as soon as possible.”

I would say that there are a lot of improvements have been implemented into Avian II. For example, just take a look at the star rating 😉 . The “What’s new” list will be available soon. At this time, why don’t you switch into Avian II and see what’s really hidden below the skin? Enjoy!

To me it appears Avian 2 is what Avian one should have been had it not been rushed to fulful the must have 2 templates per month bs 🙂 getting tired of JA presenting a small variation of one template and trying to pass it off as a “new” template.

Avian 2 is really what we should expect all templates to have 3 distinct colour schemes also can someone at JA design level listen …. the colour changer icons let them change the colour backgrounds not logos and header text please?

I fully agree with Shannon, also there seems to be slow connection problems with different users around the world. Overhere in Belgium I’ve to wait almost 1 minute to get a page request on joomlart.com. I’m working on a professional broadband connection, al pages load in a blink, only joomlart is terrible slow.
I understand that when you offer a free service, open source, etc. that you have to deal as a customer with this inconveniences. but we are paying for our templates and plugins, and I find that we may ask for this to be solved… also the template color switchers, change a ‘real’ color background, and not only some headers -> cfr. Shannon.

    Many thanks… I hope 😉

    Kind regards,

    D.
