I have applied the Ja Avoir Extra template to our site (http://www.sheffieldathletics.co.uk) having altered it slightly first. Users are saying that it loads slowly at times, even ones with broadband. Any idea how I could speed it up. Is the use of the 4 colour schemes and their corresponding CSS sheets likely to cause it to load slowly?

Your homepage has some errors of validation (tested with W3C XML). This could be a reason to load slowly. Another reason could be problems with your server.
Could you try to fix errors of validation (especially those in regard with tag, divs id or attribute errors).
