Hi

I was wondering if the QuickStart of JA Barite would be available in the latest version of Joomla. In the demo section and info page, it seems to be in Joomla 1.5.0 and the last update is set sometime in February last year.

Hi Max

The quickstart version of barite does have the latest joomla version as part of it’s package (1.5.9), however, in order to be able to download it, you need to have a membership with Joomlart.

I will definitely have the Joomlart membership to be able to download the template. But I would wan’t my site to be built on the latest joomla plateform. So after having the membership, would I have barite quickstart in 1.5.9?

Secondly, how easy/difficult it would be to update the site as Joomla updates once I use your template?

Updating joomlas is as easy as uploading the update package from the joomla site and overwriting the files to your host. It has nothing to do with the template used and should be easy.

yes. minor updates is unlikely to affect the template. however, do take note that major updates (eg 1.0 to 1.5) would cause problems for your templates, components, modules, etc etc
