Greetings Friend:Rest assured . . . . JA Blazes WILL be released for J1.7 VERY soon. 🙂
Also, even if you decided to sign up today, you would MOST DEFINITELY be able to get the J1.7 JA Blazes – and J2.5 update, for that matter – as part of your membership period.
Remember, with a JoomlArt STANDARD MEMBERSHIP:
You can download and use all the RELEASED templates and FUTURE templates – as well as other Joomla products during your membership period (including editable PSD files, fonts…). You will have an account to access Templates Club Member Forums – restricted to MEMBERS ONLY – where you can get support if you have any problem using our templates. Our JA Community Forums are more than just a customer forum, but a place where you/we can exchange ideas experiences with Joomla! Web design and developments.

So, when you really think about it . . . . . WHY WAIT ??? 😀

September 3, 2011 at 8:43 pm #410420Hopefully the J1.7 version will not be that long. I for one am looking forward to it.
As for upgrading* from J1.5 to J1.7 it is not a simple task. For me it makes little sense to upgrade to the short term support releases of Joomla other than for experimention and learning. However, where it does make sense to use J1.7 is for a new site, one where you are starting from scratch. If this is the case for you then please be a little patient and await what I am sure will be a stunning J1.7 template.
* J1.5 to J1.6/7/2.5 is not an upgrade but a migration. Best read through the many articles on the web regarding the difference and the work involved before you begin a new project on J1.5.

September 8, 2011 at 2:12 pm #411476When it is fully tested it will be released. JA are in the final stages of this so expect it soon. I cannot give to an exact date because that is impossible to predict as there are many small fixes required for JA to be happy that the release is as good as it can be.
