Hi as per my answer to madcat77
post a live url, screenshots or nothing from the user does not allow us to view the source code or use Firebug to diagnose the problem, it may be something as simple that you have a bullet point enabled in the original article that’s throwing it out

again no live url, no way to help

Hi,

Thanks for suggestion. Site is not available live.

I checked the article code for an extra bullet point in the beginning, but negative. Also, I doubt there would be a typo in five articles as displayed in the module.

Thanks again for the brain power!

Edit: These bullets are a list view generated by the template. My guess is the bullets should disappear if show photo is enabled. Made the pics 30 x 30 just like demo.

I understand re not live atm, however I cannot use the demo or dl the site as it doesn’t exhibit the bullets in either so I’m largely stuck on how to diagnose.

As the bullets seem to be template generated look in the all the .css files that relate to ja bulletin and ja tabs for a bullet declaration

I have run up the selini qs ansd turned the images off, no bullets appear, I do not know if there are any module suffixes available as the qs doesn’t enable one can you check there is no suffix causing the bullets?

Last option is to use Firefox with firebug extension to hover over bullet in live site and find what css is calling it then backtrack from there?

Hi,

Your observations beg a basic question. Is there suppose to be bullets in the module by default? If so, how are they being disabled in the demo module.

Module suffix is empty too.

The module was installed from the download list, not the quickstart.

When you disable the photo, the text slides up against bullet, touching it. Seems like they are not suppose to be there.

Dear bkmja!

I have a way to fix this issue:

You add the following css into the template.css file:

.nobullets li{
background:none!important;
list-style:none!important;
}

and then you put the “ nobullets” text into the suffix class

if you don’t understand where a suffix class is put and to do what tienhc has done. Then you may need to read up on Joomla and how to do a few things via the administrator area etc. Joomlart provides templates for Joomla so if you want to design or use Joomla you should make sure you have at least a working knowledg of how it works etc.

The suffix class is a declaration in css defining some layout or colour change style etc. What tienhc did was supplied some css code to define a new class to make sure NO bullets appear in the specific module ja bulletin

He advises to add the code he supplies to the template.css file of the Selini template. save the template.css file, go to Selini site administrator login, and login, go to extensions/modules and open the ja bulletin module you have trouble (Most read or Latest news) with in the parameters panel to your right you will see an empty field labeled Module Class Suffix you add the module suffix
_nobullets in there

This will then call the new css code to stop the bullets appearing

Hope this clarifies what you must do

Thanks! Now i realise where is the “suffix class” its all in greek in my site and sometimes i forgot the enlish ver and the names of the mod parametres.
