i got some strange behaviour of ja bulletin. when i have installed ir first time there were problems with date, i added patch which i have found on the site and didn’t work. after around couple hours, new dates changed for actual (real) ones. today i have posted three new articles and their dates are again 30 Nov 1999. how it can be fixed? it seems that patch 1.33 is not working properly on my site.

second question is about thumbnails next to title of article. i read somewhere here that images need to be stored in images/… directories, i move all images to images/stories/portal dicrectory, but no image has been shown. when i installed plugin for first time (before patch) some of articles in ja bulletin got small thumbnails. what shall i do to place small thumbnails next to title of an article?

    thank you for your help.

    1) Have you read this.
Also, I’ve created a hacked JA Bulletine module, in which the bug is solved.

    2) Try to change thumbnails size (from module’s back-end), clear chache, and reload the module.

Have you tried to change size of the thumbnails?
Also, what kind of images (jpg, gif others?) do you use? Is there one one image or several in the article?

hello gray, yes, i was playing with thumbnails size, from 20x20px to 30x30px, now it is setup as 25×25 but there were no changes. only image which is shows was reacting but nothing more was appearing.
i was jpg files (quality 7, progressive), sometimes png, there are stored in directories images/stories and images/stories/portal
quite funny, because previously there were thumbnails to other articles, which are still in most read section, but they disappeared. any ideas?

    thank you in advance
my website is online anyway, so feel free to check and maybe it would be easier to find reason and solution: http://www.industrialculture.org

What version of the module do you use?
I use my own, hacked, version. It works OK for me.

From time to time, thumbnains in my version of JA Buletin disappear also.
I’m just change the thumnains size and all is OK. I’ll try to examine this issue.

So, the problem with “disappearing” of thumbnails is caused by cleaning of cache (I have cache switched on). It could be resolved by disable caching for JA Bulletin module. Not a good solution, but it works (at least in my hacked version).
